玉捻はアルコールランプで熱しロウを塗ったコバに
ライン付けを行いコバの強度を上げるものですが、
コバにラインが入り作品が引き締まって見えます。
飾り捻と言われる様に
ロウによりコバが固まり艶やな丸みが出来ます。
初めにアルコールランプで玉捻を適温に熱し、
ロウを溶かしてコバ面に塗ります。
ロウは糸引き用やコバワックス等でOK。
その後再度、玉捻を温め捻入れを行います。
飾り捻と言われる程で熟練度によってその表情が変
わります。
