A journey to encounter ultimate mysteries in the ultimate land. In 2012, actor Takao Osawa traveled to the Antarctic continent, the end of the Earth, as the navigator for "Frozen Planet."
In 2013, he embarked on a new adventure to another polar region, the Arctic. The Arctic in mid-winter is the harshest place on Earth.

The sun rises for the first time in four months. Bathed in the light of a fantastical dawn, the king, the polar bear, awakens from its winter hibernation. The long "darkness" that dominates the Arctic winter brings the "light" of the breath of life.
Traveling through the Arctic Circle for over a month, from Canada to Northern Europe and the Arctic Ocean, experiencing Earth's most severe and magnificent nature.
The mysterious spectacle where light and darkness intersect is vividly captured using digital cinema cameras, and Osawa narrates with his own words, full of realism.

Night 1: "Miraculous Aurora Outburst"
The adventure begins in the frozen Canadian tundra, in search of a "miraculous aurora outburst" that covers the entire night sky with light.
In 2013, solar activity is expected to be high, increasing the possibility of giant auroras. However, it is unknown when and where they will occur until just before.
Osawa races along the ice road, which is only open during winter on the frozen tundra, with aurora hunters and experiences a flood of light pouring down from space.

Night 2: "Fantastical Dawn Blue Light: Chasing the King Polar Bear"
The stage is the fjords of Norway in Northern Europe and the Svalbard archipelago floating in the Arctic Ocean.
In February, after months of long night, the sun appears. The sky and the land are enveloped in a fantastical blue light called "blue light."
The people of the Arctic rejoice at the return of the sun, and on the icy plains, the polar bear, the largest land carnivore, awakens from its winter hibernation.
In the midst of the fantastical light, Osawa travels to the icy seas of the Arctic and encounters a mother and cub polar bear.
