The backgrounds and characters are integrated, creating animation that looks as if a single painting is moving. This is an expression that animation creators dream of at least once.To achieve this, Studio 7 was newly established at Studio Ghibli, and an attempt to push the boundaries of animation expression began. This work, "The Great Adventure of the Princess Kaguya: Isao Takahata and the Tale of the Princess Kaguya" ~Ghibli Studio 7, 933 Days of Legend~, was produced in conjunction with the theatrical release of "The Tale of the Princess Kaguya" and was broadcast on WOWOW in two parts in December 2013. It is now being released on Blu-ray disc as a newly edited work with significant additions to the footage.
