About the Revolution Arc.
During the end of the Edo period, heroes such as Saigo Takamori, Okubo Toshimichi, Sakamoto Ryoma, Katsu Kaishu, Iwakura Tomomi, and Katsura Kogoro struggled to dream of a new future for Japan.

Music begins from the fire of revolution. Looking towards the world, they used mariachi and foreign instruments to create unique tones.

Through Saigo Takamori, I have been allowed to embark on various musical adventures.
I come up with many ideas, sometimes saying things that surprise everyone, but I am truly grateful to the Saigo Takamori team, who accept everything, enjoy the ideas, and challenge them, as well as to the sound team members Sasaki-san, Inoue-san, Hayashi-san, and Yamada-san.

I believe that challenge, pioneering, adventure, and execution are the spirit of Saigo Takamori, and I want to continue challenging myself to create the best works.

Ryohei Suzuki’s portrayal of Saigo Takamori’s life has become a topic, and in 2018, the NHK Taiga drama “Sego-don” released its third original soundtrack volume to enhance the drama. The music is composed by Harumi Tomiki, who, in 2013, won the youngest-ever Best Music Award at the 36th Japan Academy Prize for “Waga Haha no Ki,” and is actively involved in composing for dramas, movies, anime, musicals, commercial music, providing songs to artists, hosting music programs, and teaching at the National Music University. Continuing from the first and second soundtrack volumes, this release mainly features music for the “Revolution Arc,” delivering energetic music through sound. (C)RS
