" TOKIWA made " (Tokiwa Made)
The brand name was changed from "TOKIWA," established in 2019, and rebranded in December 2021.
In 1951, the history of Uede Glasses began with Tokikazu Uede, the current president's grandfather.
The company has been making glasses in the small town of Kawauda in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, the birthplace of eyewear.
It was then succeeded by the second generation, Shin Uede, who established the know-how of eyewear manufacturing.
In 2019, the third generation, Takayuki Uede, founded the original brand "TOKIWA."
In December 2021, it was rebranded to "TOKIWA made."
