[Story]
Suzume, a 17-year-old girl living in a quiet town in Kyushu, meets Souta, a young man traveling, who says, "I'm looking for doors."
Following him, she stumbles upon a deserted ruin in the mountains where she finds an old, solitary door.
Drawn by something, Suzume reaches out to the door...
Because disasters visit from beyond the door, Souta continues his journey as a "Closer," closing and locking the doors.
Suddenly, a mysterious cat named Daijin appears before them.
"Suzume, I like you." "You're in the way."
The moment Daijin starts speaking, Souta is transformed into a chair!
It's a small chair with one leg missing, which Suzume used when she was little.
Souta, now a three-legged chair, runs off to catch the fleeing Daijin, and Suzume rushes to chase after him.
Soon, doors begin to open one after another across Japan.
Guided by the mysterious doors and the small cat, Suzume's "Tour of Closing" unfolds, involving the entire Japanese archipelago, from Kyushu, Shikoku, Kansai, and finally to Tokyo.
At the place she reaches, aided by the people she meets on her journey, Suzume awaits a forgotten truth.
