*A motorcycle regulator is a "Regulate Rectifier" that integrates the function of converting AC electricity generated by the generator to DC (rectifier function) and the control function of maintaining a constant current and voltage that is unstable depending on engine speed.
It flows electricity to charge the battery, and converts excess electricity into heat by cutting it off.
If it malfunctions or breaks down, the current and voltage become unstable, but since it is electricity, it is not visibly apparent, so it is confirmed by symptoms.
*Symptoms: Bulbs in headlights, taillights, etc., burning out, or unstable brightness.
*Battery draining while riding or after riding.
*No voltage change when stopped compared to when the engine is running.
*Symptoms similar to battery or generator failure, such as battery fluid leakage.
*There is a simple diagnostic method of disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery while the engine is running.
