Susumuyatencha "Matcha Shiro" is a high-grade matcha (powdered tea) made from Japanese green tea (produced in Japan) from Kagoshima Prefecture, selected based on our unique SGJT standards. It has been crafted to deliver a rich umami, a clear and beautiful green color, and a taste that offers a definite depth within its mellowness.
This product is recommended for those who want to enjoy "the true quality of matcha" by preparing it themselves. It is suitable for practicing Usucha (thin tea) and tea ceremony procedures at home, for your personal matcha time, or for entertaining guests. Its robust flavor pairs well with Japanese sweets and other sweet confections, allowing the presence of the matcha to be clearly felt.
Recommended preparation: Add 1.5g of matcha (1 teaspoon) to approximately 70ml of hot water at around 80°C and whisk quickly in an "M" shape with a bamboo whisk. Sifting the matcha with a tea strainer will result in a smoother texture.
