A slightly different adventure for Mario and friends. Super Mario RPG, originally released 27 years ago on the Super Famicom, is revived on Nintendo Switch with updated graphics.

■ Story ■
Mario heads to Bowser's Castle to rescue the kidnapped Princess Peach. After defeating Bowser, just as he breathes a sigh of relief, a giant sword suddenly falls from the sky. The sword pierces Bowser's Castle, and Mario is blown away by the impact, setting out once again to find Peach. On his journey, Mario learns that the "Star Road," which grants wishes, has been broken by the sword stuck in Bowser's Castle, and its fragments, "Star Pieces," have scattered across the world. Together with strong companions he meets along the way, Mario embarks on an adventure to collect the Star Pieces and restore a peaceful world where wishes can come true.

■ Explore Fields Using Jumps ■
Utilize Mario's signature "Jump" action to solve puzzles and explore various fields and dungeons.

■ Companions Who Adventure with Mario ■
Join Mario on his adventure with Mallow, who has a fluffy, self-proclaimed frog-like body, and Geno, a messenger from the heavens who visits the Mushroom Kingdom to recover the Star Pieces. Familiar faces from the Mario series, Bowser and Peach, also become companions.

■ Battles Using Action Commands ■
Engage in "Action Command Battles" where timing is key for attacks and defenses. During battles with monsters, successfully executing Action Commands can deal damage to all enemies or reduce incoming damage to zero. New to this title, successfully chaining consecutive Action Commands will activate "Chains," boosting your allies' abilities and giving you an advantage in battle. For those new to the system, a "!" mark will appear with just the right timing to support you. Additionally, each successful Action Command fills a gauge. When this gauge reaches 100%, the three characters in battle can combine their powers to unleash a special "Triple Move."

■ Additional Features ■
After the ending, you can re-challenge some of the bosses you encountered during your adventure. These re-challenged bosses have been powered up and will not be easy to defeat.
Other additions include the "Monster List," which records various information as you battle monsters, and the "Sound Player," where you can freely listen to both the Super Famicom and Nintendo Switch versions of the BGM at any time (the Sound Player becomes available after the ending).
With the addition of an "Easy" difficulty mode that makes battles gentler and support features for your adventure, even those unfamiliar with battles or RPGs can enjoy the game.
