【Overview】
This is a stage adaptation of the legendary absurdist gag battle manga written by Keibu Sawai, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 2001 to 2007.
The total circulation of all 28 comic volumes has exceeded 7 million copies.
In 2003, it was adapted into an anime, and further media mixes such as games were also produced.
In 2021, it celebrated its 20th anniversary of serialization, and in November 2023, it marked the 20th anniversary of the anime broadcast, continuing to be popular.
The script and general direction are handled by Keita Kawajiri (SUGARBOY), known for his unique sense, including the stage plays "Mob Psycho 100" series and "Hataraku Saibou" (Cells at Work!) series.
Finally, the stage version of the legendary absurdist gag battle manga is available on Blu-ray!
【Story】
In the year 300X, the world was ruled by Emperor Tsur Tsurina IV of the Marharge Empire.
Tsur Tsurina IV, as a symbol of his power, began "hair hunting" across the globe, deploying the Hair Hunting Squad to make all citizens bald.
During this dark era, one warrior rises.
His name is Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (Masaru Kato)!
A master of "Nose Hair Fist," which allows him to freely manipulate nose hair, Bo-bobo fights daily against the Hair Hunting Squad to protect the freedom and peace of human hair.
On his journey to battle the mysterious beautiful girl Beauti (Haruka Kudō), Bo-bobo encounters the legendary Hajike Leader Patch (Takuo Inari), the boss of Hajike Village, and engages in a fierce battle.
Eventually, friendship blossoms between Bo-bobo and Leader Patch, and Patch joins the journey.
As they continue traveling, allies join:
- Hoppomaru (Yuta Higuchi), a user of "Fart Fist," who was once an enemy
- Tenkosuke (Usagi), who once opposed them
- Batenkaku (Shunya Osawa), a user of "Kagi Fist" who respects Leader Patch as "Oyabinn"
- Sotton (Junya Komatsu), a user of "Babylon Fist" who joins after fighting Bo-bobo and belonging to the Hair Hunting Squad
They repeatedly conquer the Hair Hunting Squad's bases and become embroiled in intense battles...
