A new music film is born here in 2023! What was the band Pay money To my Pain, which continues to be respected even now? The Japanese top rock band “Pay money To my Pain,” which became a legend among teenagers and twenty-somethings, was formed in 2004. They made their major debut in 2006 and ascended to a unique, unparalleled presence with their sharpened sensibility that left no room for others. Everyone saw hope for the future of the loud rock scene in them. However, on December 30, 2012, vocalist K suddenly passed away. Then, on December 30, 2013, the band suspended activities. Seven years later, they received a passionate offer from “coldrain,” a direct subordinate of their label and a leading force in the current loud rock scene, and achieved a miraculous one-night revival at “BLARE FEST.2020,” thrilling both old and new fans. This work, “SUNRISE TO SUNSET,” is a 145-minute piece that encapsulates their journey, era, and influence as a rock band, told through unreleased footage, member and related personnel testimonies. Additionally, the main film features the full, no-cut performance of “Pay money To my Pain” at “BLARE FEST.2020” for the first time. First footage of the last live performance of Paymoney To my Pain, held at Zepp Tokyo on December 30, 2013, exactly one year after K’s sudden death. The live was held without revealing details of the participating members until the day, featuring live performances by three members other than K, with footage of K’s live performances projected, creating an unprecedented experience as if K himself was singing. The concert was sold out immediately, becoming a platinum ticket, and has long been requested for packaging; this is the first time it has been filmed.
