[Honey Characteristics]
The honey was harvested by our beekeeping staff in collaboration with New Zealand beekeepers, with beehives placed within Manuka forests during the flowering season. It was then bottled individually at our factory in Japan.
This is a special Manuka honey (Monofloral Manuka Honey) in its natural state, with no additives.
Unlike honeys such as Renge or Acacia, which have a mild taste and aroma, this honey is characterized by its rich, full-bodied flavor and fragrant floral scent.
[The Manuka Tree]
"Manuka" is a shrub of the Myrtaceae family, a wild plant found in New Zealand.
It is a tea tree, 1 to 3 meters tall, that grows wild in unpolluted nature. It blooms with delicate white or pink flowers, about 1-2 cm in diameter, from spring to summer (November to January). (New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere, so its seasons are opposite to Japan's.)
"MANUKA" is the Maori name for it.
* Do not give to infants under 1 year of age.
* Color and taste may vary depending on the origin and season.
* Honey may crystallize. It can be enjoyed as is, but if you wish to return it to a liquid state, avoid direct heat and gently warm it in a double boiler at around 40°C with the lid open.
