*Regarding input tax deduction
Previously, input tax deduction could be made with a simple invoice issued by a business partner. However, after the introduction of the invoice system, "only transactions for which a qualified invoice has been issued are eligible for input tax deduction."
If input tax deduction is not permitted, businesses will have to pay the full amount of consumption tax received at the time of sale, as they cannot deduct the consumption tax paid on purchases and expenses.
