The elusive mushroom "Hanabiratake" contains an overwhelmingly high amount of β-1,3-glucan.
It is a mushroom from the Hanabiratake family, which appears on larches and beeches from summer to autumn in Japan.
The overall color ranges from pale yellow to white. The stem is about 1 millimeter thick, flat, and branches multiple times, reaching a height of 10 to 30 centimeters. It is characterized by a wavy, flower petal-like appearance.
Among mountaineers and mushroom enthusiasts, it is known as a crisp and delicious mushroom, but it is also said to be a rare, elusive mushroom that is difficult to find in China and Korea.
This mushroom is cultivated using spores researched and developed by Minah Health Co., Ltd., and the spores were registered with the Industrial Technology Institute of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2000 (Registration number: FERM P-17221).
Furthermore, all research presentations regarding β-glucan from Hanabiratake utilize β-glucan extracted from Hanabiratake cultivated from these spores, with cooperation from Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences and others.
Among mushrooms, Hanabiratake contains an overwhelmingly high amount of β-1,3-glucan, which was generally considered to be about 42%.
Minah Health has succeeded in producing Hanabiratake with a patented, specially improved manufacturing process that contains 62 grams of β-1,3-glucan per 100 grams.
