Sony's tabletop radios have primarily featured monaural speakers in the past, but this unit is equipped with stereo speakers, allowing you to play stereo sources such as FM broadcasts with stereo sound quality. The angle of the speaker units and the layout inside the cabinet have been optimized to create a natural sense of sound diffusion.
Bass Reflex Structure
The speaker box employs a "bass reflex structure," enabling the reproduction of rich, deep bass. You can listen to music and voices with clear sound quality that makes them easy to understand.
Digital Amplifier

When tuning the radio, the preset radio station names are displayed in Japanese on the large LCD based on your region settings, allowing you to confirm them visually. (Supports display of Wide FM station names) It also has 5 buttons to register your favorite radio stations for one-touch tuning.
It features a large, easy-to-read digital clock. The clock display can be selected between 12-hour/24-hour format (also supports automatic time correction). The brightness of the LCD backlight can be switched between 4 levels (Bright, Medium, Dim, Off) with a single button. It supports various timer functions convenient for sleeping while listening to the radio or waking up: Sleep Timer (15 min/30 min/60 min/90 min), Alarm Timer (time setting), and Auto Power Off (after 15 minutes of inactivity/silence).
