World-renowned pianist Hiromi Uehara. Her new project "Hiromi's Sonicwonder" begins!
* This is her first original album in two years, released amidst the success of the soundtrack for the animated film "BLUE GIANT," for which she composed the music.
* The new project "Hiromi's Sonicwonder" is a quartet featuring emerging musicians: Adrean Ferry (b), Gene Coy (ds), and Adam O'Farrill (tp). They deliver an aggressive and powerful sound that blows away the pandemic.
* The album includes newly written songs specifically for this project, as well as re-arranged versions of songs previously released on her social media project "One Minute Portrait" during the pandemic. Additionally, UK singer-songwriter/keyboardist Ollie Marland lends his vocals to "Reminiscence" (lyrics co-written by Hiromi and Ollie).
* The jacket illustration is an original drawing by Lou Beach, who has created artwork for many classic albums since the 1970s, including Weather Report's "Heavy Weather."
* All three editions include the instrumental version of "Reminiscence" as a Japan-only bonus track. The First Press Limited Edition bonus DVD will include two types of documentary footage.
