Kotringo, a new talent discovered by Ryuichi Sakamoto, makes her debut with the theme song for the Tsuki brand "Tsuki" commercial. Her second single, "Nichiyo Machi," showcased her remarkable talent by handling all aspects of songwriting, composition, and arrangement herself. This is her milestone first album. Following two singles, this album was also produced in New York under the direction of Ryuichi Sakamoto.
The album features a colorful musicality that combines powerful piano and vocals with elements of electronica.
*Note:* The 12th track, "Tenku no Uta," a song used in the Otsuka Beverage Sky Oolong Tea commercial, is a must-listen! The "Tiey Tiey Tea" version, featuring a tea-picking theme, is especially recommended.
This is Kotringo's first album, produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto, following her major debut with the single "Konnichiwa Mata Ashita" (used in the Tsuki brand commercial). The album blends electronica-style tracks with cute, edited vocals reminiscent of Cornelius, and incorporates piano phrases that hint at jazz and classical influences in various parts, such as in the track "Hoshikuzu."
