This candy uses organic ume extract, certified by JAS, which is made by simmering carefully cultivated organic green plums for about 10 hours.
The sweetness is balanced with raw sugar from Kikai Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, syrup made from Satsuma sweet potatoes from Kyushu, and Okinawan black sugar.
