This is a convenient silicone mold that can be used with natural drying clays such as resin clay, oven clays, UV resins, and two-part epoxy resins that harden through chemical reactions. You can create authentic miniature sake bottles and cups. If you want to finish them with a ceramic look, we recommend using clay.
It is ideal for pairing with miniature sweets, miniature bread, miniature food, and dollhouses.
[How to Use][Notes on this design mold]
■Epoxy → Since it is not a mirror finish, it will be cloudy when removed after curing. Polishing with an abrasive will result in a clearer finish.
~ To achieve a more mirror-like finish ~
First, spray mold release agent onto the mold, use a two-part mixed resin, and after removing it after curing, polish it with a soft cloth and abrasive. Finally, spray mold release agent again and wipe lightly for a cleaner surface.
■UV Resin → Since it is not a mirror finish, it will be cloudy when removed after curing. Applying two coats of UV resin or glossy varnish will create a beautiful finish. Whether or not abrasives can be used depends on the UV resin you are using.
For air bubbles, pop them with a tool like a fine art stick. If air bubbles occur, it is less likely to happen if you apply resin to the mold grooves with a stiff brush before pouring the resin. Also, by warming the mold with resin inside using a hairdryer or heat gun before curing, wrinkles and air bubbles are less likely to form.
*Cannot be used with silicone-based materials.
*Materials other than natural drying clay have a limited lifespan due to chemical reactions.
