This is a convenient silicone mold that can be used with natural drying clays such as resin clay, oven-baked clay, precious metal clay, UV resin, and two-part epoxy resins and urethane foams that harden through chemical reactions.
Simply fill the mold with clay or other materials and remove to easily create dog silhouette parts. It is also usable with UV-curing materials as it transmits UV light.
**Notes Regarding This Design Mold:**
* **Epoxy Resin:** The mold is not mirror-finished, so the hardened pieces will appear cloudy when removed. Polishing with an abrasive will result in a clearer finish.
* **To achieve a mirror finish:** First, spray the mold with a mold release agent. Use a two-part mixed resin. After hardening and removal, polish with a soft cloth and an abrasive. Finally, spray again with mold release agent and lightly wipe to achieve a cleaner surface.
* **UV Resin:** The mold is not mirror-finished, so the hardened pieces will appear cloudy when removed. A beautiful finish can be achieved by applying two coats of UV resin or a glossy varnish to coat the surface. Whether or not abrasives can be used depends on the UV resin you are using.
* For air bubbles, pop them with a tool such as a fine art stick. If bubbles are forming, try applying resin to the grooves of the mold with a stiff brush before pouring the main resin; this will help prevent bubbles.
* **Cannot be used with silicone-based materials.**
* **For materials other than natural drying clay, there is a limit to durability due to chemical reactions.**
