This mold can be used with materials that cure through chemical reactions, such as oven-bake clay, silver clay, UV gel, resin, acrylic powder, and expandable urethane, as well as regular air-dry clay.
Simply fill the mold with clay or other materials and remove to easily create cute Halloween parts. Since it transmits UV light, it can also be used with UV-curing materials.
【Notes on this design mold】
■ Epoxy Resin → The finish is not mirror-like, so it will appear cloudy when removed after curing. Polishing with an abrasive will result in a clearer finish.
~ To achieve a more mirror-like finish ~
First, spray the mold with a release agent spray, use a two-part mixing resin, and after curing and removal, polish with a soft cloth and abrasive. Finally, spray again with release agent spray and lightly wipe to achieve a cleaner surface.
■ UV Resin → The finish is not mirror-like, so it will appear cloudy when removed after curing. Applying UV resin or a glossy varnish twice to coat the surface will result in a beautiful finish. Whether or not an abrasive can be used depends on the UV resin you are using.
For air bubbles, pop them with a tool such as a fine art stick. If air bubbles are a concern, try applying resin to the grooves of the mold with a stiff brush before pouring the resin; this will help prevent air bubbles from forming.
■ Silicone Materials → Cannot be used as they will blend with the material during curing.
