Down is found on the chest of waterfowl, not land birds. It has excellent moisture-wicking and breathable properties, is lightweight, and traps a generous amount of air. To create a fluffy and warm down comforter, we carefully select down with large down clusters, achieving a high down content of 90%! Comforters made with this 90% down are exceptionally soft, supple, warm, and of high quality.
[Careful Down Washing]
The raw down undergoes multiple rigorous washing processes to minimize animal-specific odors and achieve a cleanliness level of 1000 mm, which is twice the JIS standard!
*However, as down is a natural material, it is not completely odorless. The primary cause of odor is the oils remaining in the down. If these oils were completely removed, the odor might disappear, but the down would break into "feather branches" and lose its insulating properties. If you notice an odor immediately after opening or if it bothers you, please fold the comforter to expel the air, replace it with fresh air, and air it out in the sun before use.
[3D Quilt x Ultra-Lightweight Fabric]
The quilt is designed in a 3D structure, allowing the down to expand naturally. Warm air is trapped within each square, and the "3D quilt" enhances insulation by utilizing the properties of the down! Furthermore, the use of ultra-lightweight fabric reduces the burden on the down filling, making it less likely to push out warm air.
