林業が盛んな大分県日田でつくられた日田下駄
日本を代表するアウトドアブランド、snowpeak（スノーピーク）。

林業が盛んな大分県日田で作られており、材料も日田産の"日田杉"を使用。
日田杉は、素人目で見てもわかる木目の美しさと、やさしい足触り。
そして強度も高く、かなり軽い。
前シーズンでは素焼きしたものを使用していたが、
今シーズンの日田下駄は素焼きをせず、日田杉本来の質感をそのままに仕上げられている。
ソールには今シーズンよりVibram-ビブラム-が採用されており、グリップ性が向上している。
鼻緒も履いていくうちに段々と足に馴染んでいき、自分の足にフィットする。
軽量な日田杉とビブラムソールとのコンビで、歩きやすさ、疲れにくさは普通の下駄と比べて段違い。
サイズがワンサイズなのにも理由がある。
本来下駄は「足の指」と「かかと」が少しだけ台から出るような設計になっており、
そのように履くのが"粋な履き方"とされている。
下駄と聞くと、浴衣や甚平で合わせるモノのイメージ。
だけどsnwpeakが提案するこの日田下駄は、浴衣はもちろんだが普段のコーデのアクセントとして使ってもおもしろそう。
