初代真多呂を祖父に持ち、父である二代目真 多呂に、270年以上続く木目込人形の祖である上賀茂神社より正統技術伝承者として認められた技術とその真髄を学ぶ。さらに、日展評議員嶋田秀男、日展会員・日本彫刻会会員山崎茂樹に師事し、彫塑、デッサン技術の研鑽に勤める。その作風は、木目込み人形の伝統技法に現代感覚にあふれる「真多呂らしさ」を作品に盛り込んだ雅やかなもので、数多くの作品展・コンクールにおいて高い評価を受けている。また、日本人形協会会長も歴任し、木目込人形のみならず、人形業界全体を類い稀なリーダーシップで牽引し続けている。
