●大工さんの場合新築物件の柱の墨付け等に使用します。（かなばかり寸法・根太幅ピッチ・垂木幅とピッチ・かま継ぎの寸法・ありほぞの仕口墨・ボルトの穴ピッチ・平ほぞ穴の逃げ・特殊な間柱ピッチ１尺２寸やメートル間隔など）
●瓦屋さんの場合かわらを安定させて置く為の横木【瓦桟】の間隔を垂木に墨付けする時等に使います。（安田瓦は７寸６分、三州瓦は７寸８分ピッチ）
●土木業の場合土留用のコンクリート板柵やＬ型擁壁設置の際、メートル間隔にパッキンを設置する印を付ける時等に使用します。
●アルミ製で丈夫で軽量、濡れても変形せずしなりません。
●メートル目盛・尺相当目盛の併用目盛付で測定、ケガキの寸法誤差が少なく済みます。
