The Surf Lander is a versatile rod series that incorporates Shimano technology while pursuing a mild action setting that is easy for anyone to cast. The blanks, forged with Spiral X and High Power X, combine excellent long-distance casting performance and controllability. The butt guide uses X Guide Cast Titanium, the same as the Kiss Special and Spin Power, for improved trouble-free performance. The end grip uses an integrated Kasko Grip for even greater stability during casting. Centered around the all-around 4.05m model, we also offer the lightweight and easy-to-handle 3.85m DX and EX models, and the 4.25m BX and CX models, which are easy to handle with multiple hooks and suitable for leaving the rod unattended. These are utility-rich items that fully support modern surf casting.

SPIRAL X

Overcomes twisting and collapsing to fundamentally enhance rod performance.

Spiral X is a three-layer structure in which carbon tape is wound diagonally in opposite directions on the inner and outer layers of the rod's longitudinal fibers. This structure, with its inner and outer diagonal fibers, achieves high torsional rigidity and compressive rigidity while maintaining lightness. It improves instantaneous power transmission during casting and fighting, and enhances the fundamental strength needed to catch fish while maintaining lightness. It is Shimano's unique "basic structure."

X GUIDE

Shimano's original guide that brings out the rod's true performance: X GUIDE.

Born from the perspective of a rod manufacturer, the X Guide was created to fully bring out the potential of the blank. It is a high-performance Shimano original guide that fuses lightness, trouble-free performance, and casting performance at a high dimension.

HIGH POWER X

An enhanced structure that further suppresses twisting that occurs during casting and fighting. It features carbon tape tightened in an X shape over the outermost layer of Spiral X or over the cross-woven structure of carbon sheets. This allows the rod's bend to maintain the direction intended by the angler, and the blank's inherent performance is fully utilized.

X GUIDE CAST TITANIUM (Butt Guide)

X Guide Cast Titanium, which thoroughly pursues casting distance and trouble-free performance, which are most important in casting. The frame shape, with its four legs supporting the ring, minimizes twisting and bending during casting, efficiently transmitting the caster's power to the rod. Furthermore, by reducing the rigidity in the vertical direction (the direction in which the rod bends), it reduces strain and smooths the rod's bend. This optimization of frame rigidity improves not only casting distance but also control performance.

KASKO GRIP (Integrated Structure)

Large R-shaped high-toughness ceramic ring

Compared to conventional flange shapes, the X Guide Cast Titanium has a larger R-shape in the direction where the line enters during casting, resulting in less line resistance and greater casting distance. Additionally, the large R extends to the outside, allowing for smooth passage of line tangles and leader knots at the moment of casting, reducing line troubles.
