The lightweight series that makes use of a low-inertia rotor made of carbon fiber reinforced resin CI4, demonstrating its true value in technical fishing with agility and responsiveness.

The Twin Power XD is characterized by its robust specifications focused on strength. In addition to the substantial feel of the HAGANE body, the added Infinity Cross and Infinity Drive improve gear durability and winding power. The new material drag washer Dura Cross offers outstanding wear resistance and smooth, reliable drag performance. Furthermore, features like the Infinity Loop that improve cast feel, X Protect that reduces foreign object intrusion into the line roller, and the Anti-Twist Fin that reduces line trouble have been newly equipped, further evolving usability in tough environments.

The lineup includes six models from the C3000 size, suitable for freshwater and seawater activities, to the C5000 size, which matches light shore jigging.

Among the robust Twin Power series, the Twin Power XD focuses on lightweight operation and sensitivity, adopting a Magnum Light Rotor for a nimble feel. It inherits the toughness of the Twin Power lineage with lightweight, high-sensitivity, and comfortable winding quality, perfect for technical games involving repeated reeling and stopping. Compared to the Magnum Light series that emphasizes agility and response, the Twin Power XD features a robust design characteristic of the Twin Power series. Its presence as a reel that combines each of its strengths is undeniable.

Strengths of the Magnum Light Rotor

The Magnum Light Rotor introduced in the Twin Power XD has an asymmetrical structure. It achieves unprecedented ease of rotation and improved operability, easily detects line tension changes on the rotor, and provides excellent winding sensitivity. By reducing inertia, the response of initial winding and static hold is improved, allowing quick response to sudden hits. Precise operation controls the lure’s movement and action, as well as the uniformity of winding, leading to bites.

Body design inherited from the Twin Power series

The body adopts a hybrid structure of high-strength carbon material CI4+ and aluminum. CI4+, which incorporates high-strength carbon fiber into resin, has higher rigidity than general reinforced resins and can withstand normal use with sufficient strength even when formed into a body alone.

However, following the philosophy of robustness, the Twin Power XD particularly uses aluminum material for the foot part under load, further pursuing rigidity. It inherits the excessive rigidity that the Twin Power series has long pursued.

The starting point of the Twin Power XD: a highly waterproof structure

With X Protect that reduces water intrusion into the line roller, initial performance is maintained with confidence. The X Protect equipped in this model is a technology that, in addition to a labyrinth structure with a special water-repellent grease, uses centrifugal force to expel water from the line roller area, enhancing durability. It features a new structure with a water barrier on the line roller and uses centrifugal force generated by rotor rotation to eject water externally. X Protect significantly suppresses intrusion of foreign objects contained in water and promotes the expulsion of any water that has entered, protecting the line roller. It reduces unpleasant noise, provides a smooth rotation feel, and has improved durability by about three times compared to our tests.

Infinity Loop

The Infinity Loop allows the line to be wound neatly and densely, greatly reducing line release resistance. This smooth line delivery creates a cast feel that seems to flow, and also provides greater stability for accurate and smooth drag performance.

Anti-Twist Fin

The anti-twist fin integrated into the bail reduces line slack and suppresses troubles such as slack overflowing from the spool during retrieve. It ensures more reliable, stress-free casting.

Dura Cross

With the adoption of the reinforced new material Dura Cross, the drag durability is improved, and the reel has evolved in all directions including lightness, strength, operability, and durability. Despite these upgrades, the weight remains the same as the previous model, allowing seamless operation even when switching to the new model.
