The magnesium light series leverages the lightness and responsiveness of a low-inertia rotor made from carbon fiber reinforced resin CI4, demonstrating its true value in technical fishing.

The Twin Power XD is characterized by its robust specifications focused on strength. In addition to the substantial feel of the HAGANE body, the added Infinity Cross and Infinity Drive improve gear durability and winding power. The new Duracross drag washer material offers outstanding wear resistance and smooth, reliable drag performance. Furthermore, features like the Infinity Loop, line roller with improved cast feel, X Protect to reduce foreign object intrusion, and Anti-Twist Fin to reduce line trouble have been newly incorporated, further enhancing usability in tough environments.

The lineup includes six models from the C3000 series, suitable for freshwater and seawater, to the C5000 series, which matches light shore jigging.

Among the robust Twin Power series, the Twin Power XD focuses on lightweight operation and sensitivity, adopting a magnesium light rotor for a nimble feel. It inherits the toughness of the Twin Power lineage, equipped with high sensitivity and a comfortable winding feel, perfect for technical games involving repeated reeling and stopping. Compared to the magnesium light series emphasizing agility and response, the Twin Power XD features a sturdy design characteristic of the Twin Power series. Its presence as a reel combining both qualities is undeniable.

Strengths of the magnesium light rotor

The magnesium light rotor introduced in the Twin Power XD has an asymmetrical structure. It achieves unprecedented ease of rotation and improved operability, easily detects line tension changes on the rotor, and provides excellent winding sensitivity. By reducing inertia, the response to initial winding and stops is improved, allowing quick adaptation to sudden bites. Precise operation controls the lure's movement and action, as well as the uniformity of winding, guiding bites effectively.

Body design inherited from the Twin Power series

The body adopts a hybrid structure of high-strength carbon material CI4+ and aluminum. The CI4+, with high-strength carbon fiber mixed into resin, has higher rigidity than general reinforced resins and can withstand normal use with sufficient strength even when formed into a body alone.

However, adhering to the philosophy of robustness, the Twin Power XD further pursues rigidity by using aluminum material especially in the heavily loaded foot section. It inherits the excessive rigidity long sought by the Twin Power series.

Waterproof structure starting from the Twin Power XD

With X Protect, which reduces water intrusion into the line roller, initial performance is maintained with confidence. The X Protect in this model features a labyrinth structure with a special water-repellent grease, and technology that uses centrifugal force to expel water from the line roller, enhancing durability. It incorporates a water barrier on the line roller and uses centrifugal force generated by rotor rotation to eject water externally, a new structure. X Protect significantly suppresses intrusion of foreign objects and water, also promoting water ejection, protecting the line roller. It reduces unpleasant noise, ensures smooth rotation, and improves durability by about three times compared to our tests.

Infinity Loop

The Infinity Loop ensures lines are wound neatly and tightly, greatly reducing line release resistance. This smooth line delivery creates a seamless cast feel and provides even greater stability in precise and smooth drag performance.

Anti-Twist Fin

The anti-twist fin integrated into the bail reduces line slack and prevents troubles caused by line slack overflowing from the spool during retrieve. It makes stress-free, comfortable casting more reliable.

Duracross

With the adoption of the reinforced new material Duracross, the drag durability is improved, and the reel has evolved in all directions including lightness, strength, operability, and durability. Despite this significant upgrade, the weight remains the same as the previous model, allowing seamless operation even when switching to the new model.
