Light Line Special

The center model XR of the Soare reel has appeared. Micro Module Gear II and Silent Drive improve the feeling when turning the handle. It can be wound smoothly, allowing focus on subtle bites. The adoption of a long-stroke spool increases casting distance by about 4% on average. A new high-response drag has been adopted for the drag system. When using light lines for angling such as Ajing, with the conventional drag, even if set loosely, the initial start of the drag when it suddenly releases can exert more force than set, making it difficult to adjust the drag. This high-response drag suppresses that sudden increase, allowing for more aggressive drag settings.

HAGANE Gear

Aiming for unchanged winding feel.

A metal block is pressed with high pressure and finished with micron-level precision without machining. The unique technology called precision cold forging produces gears that are hard and tough, enabling smooth winding feel.


Micro Module Gear II

Light and smooth. A gem-like gear feel.

Evolved Micro Module Gear II with sharp tooth surface design and Shimano’s manufacturing technology. The gear teeth and surface are redesigned, pursuing tooth shape. It also reduces noise and improves smooth gear feeling.


X Ship

Large diameter drive gear, arrangement of pinion and drive gears, and two-point support with bearing on the pinion gear. These robust gear meshing maintain a light, responsive reeling under load.

The basic design of the entire body, drive-related parts are reviewed one by one, eliminating fine play, gaps, and wobble between parts. Magnum Light Rotor

Reduces rotational inertia and enhances rotor rigidity.

Adopts an asymmetrical rotor structure to improve operability and sensitivity, achieving unprecedented lightness of rotation. Further, by lightening the line roller, titaniumizing the bail, and arranging rotor thickness, rotational inertia has been successfully reduced.


X Protect

Shimano’s proud, formidable waterproof structure.

For small to medium general-purpose reels, lighter rotation is required, so a non-contact structure that does not compromise rotation ease is used. In addition to water-repellent treatment, a labyrinth structure that suppresses water ingress is combined, achieving high waterproof performance while remaining non-contact. Used in stopper bearing parts and line roller parts. For larger saltwater reels requiring higher waterproof performance, a contact-type waterproof structure is adopted. By physically blocking seawater entry with low-friction seal parts, high waterproof performance is achieved while maintaining low rotational resistance. Used in stopper bearing parts and line roller parts, with the stopper bearing part achieving a waterproof standard equivalent to IPX8.


G Free Body

A sliding function component that moves the spool back and forth is placed on the upper part of the reel body, successfully bringing the reel’s center of gravity closer to the hand. This improves the sense of unity with the rod, reduces fatigue during casting, and enhances rod operability.


AR-C Spool

A spool with a special ring shape. It creates a line rectification effect, reducing line troubles and achieving both long-distance casting performance.









Long Stroke Spool

A spool with a long-stroke design. By making the line winding part of the spool wider, it reduces the amount of line used during the latter part of the cast, contributing to improved casting feel and distance.


CI4+

A carbon material evolved from the lightweight carbon CI4. It significantly improves rigidity and durability while maintaining lightness, enabling smaller, lighter reels.


Rigid Support Drag

Supports the spool with two bearings inside the main shaft and spool, suppressing spool wobble and providing stable, smooth drag performance.


S ARB

Special anti-rust treatment applied directly to the bearings greatly enhances rust resistance. S ARB also seals the sides with anti-rust material, significantly reducing salt crystallization inside the bearings and salt gumming.
