The secret to balancing the rod's lightness and strength lies in Shimano's Spiral X and Hyper Power X technologies. Spiral X is a three-layer structure where carbon tape is wrapped diagonally in opposite directions on the inner and outer layers of the rod's vertical fibers. This improves instant power transfer in all fishing actions, from casting to fighting fish, supporting comfortable fishing by maximizing the rod's performance. Hyper Power X is a technology that further tightens the blank with carbon tape in an X-shape, reducing twisting during fights and casts. Using these proprietary blank designs, the rod achieves both lightness and strength.
