The Colt Sniper SS, which further pursues lightness and strength, is designed for shore jigging rods. The Colt Sniper SS is engineered to balance these two seemingly opposing elements at a high level, achieving further power increase in the blank compared to the previous model without sacrificing weight reduction. Additionally, the grip and joint parts incorporate technologies used in flagship models, pursuing a feel comparable to higher-end models.

The secret to balancing the lightness and strength of the blank lies in Shimano's technologies Spiral X and High Power X. Spiral X is a three-layer structure where carbon tape is wrapped diagonally in opposite directions on the inner and outer layers of the rod's vertical fibers. This improves instantaneous power transmission in all fishing actions, from casting to fighting fish, supporting the angler's comfortable fishing experience. High Power X is a technology that further tightens the blank with carbon tape in an X-shape, reducing twisting during fights and casts. Using these Shimano-exclusive blank designs achieves a balance of lightness and strength.

Screw Lock Joint
The Screw Lock Joint is Shimano's proprietary technology that connects the blanks by screwing them together.
