Manufacturer's description
A super practical model with further improved performance
The Stradic SW, equipped with power, toughness, and waterproof performance that rivals higher-end models, has been used to attack harsh saltwater scenes. This super practical reel has undergone evolution tailored to each product number and has finally been renewed.
The 4000 size, suitable for light saltwater, is based on the highly rated 23 Stradic, and incorporates Infinity Cross, Infinity Drive, and Anti-Twist Fin to improve gear durability and reduce line troubles, pursuing even better usability. Models in the 5000 and 10000 sizes feature X Tough Drag, achieving upgrades in durability, heat dissipation, and maximum drag force. These specifications are designed for fighting with heavy-weight lures and large fish. Additionally, the 5000 and 6000 sizes eliminate the conventional bail auto-return mechanism to prevent casting troubles.
A series of nine carefully selected items that surpass their class in performance, building a more practical series.
Toughness without compromise, worthy of the name SW
Saltwater game is often described as more severe compared to freshwater, with words like harshness. All threats—salt-laden wind, relentless spray, blazing sun in the open, and the violent power of unexpected large fish—pose significant dangers to anglers and tackle. In other words, saltwater tackle must be equipped with specs capable of handling such threats, and the very name SW on the product signifies toughness.
The Stradic SW is equipped with formidable waterproof structures such as X Shield (excluding the 4000 size), X Protect, and others to reduce seawater intrusion, preventing deterioration of metal parts and internal corrosion, and maintaining initial performance such as smooth rotation for a long time. The drive system incorporates Infinity Drive and HAGANE gears, supporting powerful fights with CI4 round handle knobs. It offers power and robustness that can handle unexpected large fish, ensuring safe fights. Furthermore, models of 5000 and above feature X Tough Drag, which enhances not only maximum drag force but also durability and heat dissipation. All these features are designed to attack harsh environments with unwavering toughness, facing saltwater without any blind spots.
The significantly upgraded performance of the 4000 size
The 4000 size, the smallest in the series, has been greatly upgraded from the previous model. Notably, the incorporation of Infinity Drive results in a more powerful winding feel. The addition of Infinity Cross greatly improves gear durability. Despite being a model mainly for light game, its toughness boasts specs that are not inferior to larger sizes. In terms of operability, it now features Anti-Twist Fin to suppress line troubles. By reducing slack, it minimizes line slipping and tangling, advancing towards more comfortable fishing. The handle adopts a CI4 round knob, similar to current models, allowing maximum power with minimal input.
Enhanced maximum drag value for evolved big-fish strategies
The X Tough Drag, installed in models of 5000 and above, is constructed with washers made solely of metal and carbon, supporting the spool from both top and bottom. An additional large-diameter drag washer at the bottom of the spool increases the maximum drag force to 12kg from 13kg in 5000 and 6000 sizes, 13kg to 16kg in 8000, and 13kg to 15kg in 10000, representing a performance upgrade from the previous model. This allows for easier and more reliable stopping of large fish. The X Tough Drag also improves durability and heat dissipation of the drag section, further refining smooth and stable drag performance.
Unparalleled waterproof structure that minimizes seawater intrusion, the greatest threat
For saltwater tackle, the biggest threat can be said to be salt. Especially, seawater intrusion can corrode internal structures of the reel and cause a decline in initial performance. Therefore, waterproof performance is crucial. The X Protect used in the 4000 size employs a contactless waterproof system that maintains light rotation. It is installed in the stopper bearing and line roller, demonstrating high waterproof performance. Additionally, models of 5000 and above feature X Shield, which applies strong sealing at various contact points such as the body cover joint surface and spool drag knob contact surface, blocking seawater intrusion routes. X Protect also uses low-friction seal components with contact type, ensuring a robust waterproof structure tailored to expected scenes, maintaining initial performance over the long term.
