Manufacturer's description
Tactical Armor
High-precision metal body with a robust and smooth drive system featuring micro module gears, equipped with a digital counter and fall lever, enabling advanced strategies and reproducibility in Ocea Conquest CT. It features a fall lever and infinity drive that prevent winding heaviness even under tension, further enhancing ease of winding and sensitivity. The line counter with an expanded viewing angle includes a winding distance alarm, supporting more detailed strategies. Of course, durability is maintained with high-durability clutch, corrosion-resistant stainless steel parts, and waterproof performance through X-PROTECT, all hallmarks of the resilient toughness built by Ocea Conquest. The design has been refined for ease of grip and clear counter visibility, meeting the expectations of offshore anglers with meticulous specifications. The newly lineup MG model adopts a CI4+ round handle knob, ideal for trolling sea bream game.
Line counter
As many anglers have already experienced, since the introduction of line counters in offshore lure games such as jigging and sea bream trolling, underwater strategies have significantly changed. Previously, water depth could often be vaguely estimated, but now it can be accurately measured with numerical values, allowing for precise targeting even in situations with strict range requirements. Sharing information with crew members and captains has become more specific and accurate, greatly increasing the reproducibility of hit patterns, thanks to the benefits of digital counters. The line counter installed in the Ocea Conquest CT adds a winding distance alarm to the conventional functions. You can know the distance wound from the bottom without staring at the counter, enabling efficient repeated tracing of the necessary range. Line counters have become essential equipment for offshore dual-gear reels, regardless of genre, including light jigging, mid-deep sea, and trolling sea bream. Here lies the forefront of their evolution.
Improved viewing angle with inclined counter.
The Ocea Conquest CT's line counter has a display screen tilted 5 degrees forward from the previous model to improve the viewing angle. This adjustment, made to better suit fishing motions that often involve lowering the tip, also enhances grip. It is a small improvement that is hardly noticeable but makes a clear difference in actual fishing. Every detail that can be a concern is thoroughly reviewed. The uncompromising attitude results in the ease of use that defines Conquest.
Powerful yet compact. Fits in the palm of your hand with the S-compact body.
The Ocea Conquest body has been made 3mm more compact on the gripping side. Additionally, similar to the 22 Ocea Conquest 300, the small diameter side plate is offset to reduce height further, improving grip. The small, lightweight body fits naturally in the hand, allowing for a comfortable grip and reducing fatigue during long fights. It offers the full experience of Ocea Conquest's high-quality rotation feel and high winding power.
Handle knobs redesigned for different scenes.
Handles have been improved for ease of use by pursuing the optimal length and shape for each size. The 300/301MG model, designed for trolling Tairaba, features a 70mm handle with a lightweight CI4 round knob, improving uniform winding ease and sensitivity. The shaft diameter has been increased by 2mm for better grip during reeling. For light jigging models (300/301HG and 300PG), a 75mm handle with a T-shaped knob is used to prioritize ease of applying force. The thumb grip and hand fit have been improved for even greater usability.
FEATURE (Features)
High-durability clutch
Shimano's clutch is known for its high durability. A special surface treatment applied to the pinion gear further enhances durability and salt resistance. The reliability of the clutch is even stronger. The design philosophy aimed at truly usable reels is also reflected here.
High corrosion-resistant internal parts
Not only the main parts but also internal parts such as washers are designed for toughness. Using high-rigidity, corrosion-resistant stainless steel materials throughout, especially for offshore specifications, ensures safe and reliable fighting.
Level wind linkage
The spool and level wind are linked structurally. This makes line release straight and smooth, allowing for precise fall of the rig. During fighting, the drag operates smoothly, making it safe even with thin lines.
Line slip prevention pin
The spool is equipped with a pin to securely fix PE lines. This small part eliminates the need for slip tapes or under-winding nylon lines when starting to wind, preventing accidental line slipping troubles.
