Tactical Armor
High-precision metal body, micro module gear with robust and smooth drive system, equipped with digital counter and fall lever, achieving advanced strategy and reproducibility in Ocea Conquest CT. Features include a fall lever and infinity drive that prevent winding from becoming heavy even under tension, further improving ease of winding and sensitivity. Additionally, the line counter with an expanded viewing angle includes a winding distance alarm, supporting more detailed strategies. Of course, the durability built by high-durability clutch, corrosion-resistant stainless steel parts, and waterproof performance via X-PROTECT, remains fully intact. The design has been refined in details such as ease of gripping and visibility of the counter to meet offshore angler expectations. The newly lineup MG model adopts a CI4+ round handle knob, making it ideal for Tora Tairaba (drift fishing for sea bream) games.
Line counter
As many anglers have already experienced, since the introduction of counters in offshore lure games such as jigging and sea bream Tora Lure, underwater strategies have significantly changed. Previously, water depth, which could often be vague, can now be accurately grasped with numerical values, allowing for precise targeting even in situations with strict range or target. Sharing information with fellow anglers and the captain has become more specific and accurate, greatly increasing the reproducibility of hit patterns, thanks to the digital counter. The line counter equipped in the Ocea Conquest CT adds a winding distance alarm to the conventional functions. You can know the distance wound from the bottom without staring at the counter, enabling efficient repeated tracing of the necessary range. Whether for light jigging, mid-deep sea, Tora Tairaba, or any genre, line counters have become an essential feature of offshore dual-shaft reels. Here is the forefront of that evolution.
Improved viewing angle with inclined counter.
The Ocea Conquest CT's line counter features a display screen tilted 5° forward from the previous model to improve the viewing angle. This adjustment, made to better suit fishing motions that often involve lowering the tip, also enhances grip comfort. It is a small improvement that is hardly noticeable but makes a clear difference in actual fishing. Every detail that can be a concern is thoroughly reviewed. The uncompromising attitude results in ease of use and reliability of the Conquest.
Powerful yet compact. Fits in the palm of your hand with the S-compact body.
The Ocea Conquest's body width is reduced by 3mm on the gripping side. Additionally, similar to the Ocea Conquest 300, the small diameter side plates are offset to reduce height further, enhancing grip comfort. The small, lightweight body fits naturally in the hand, allowing for a comfortable grip and reducing fatigue during long fights. It offers the full experience of Ocea Conquest's high-quality rotation feel and high winding power.
Handle knob redesigned for different scenes.
Handles are optimized in length and shape for each size and improved for easier use. The 300/301MG model, designed for Tora Tairaba, features a 70mm handle with a lightweight CI4 round knob, improving uniform winding ease and sensitivity. The shaft diameter is increased by 2mm for better grip during reeling. For light jigging models 300/301HG and 300PG, a 75mm handle with a T-shaped knob is used to prioritize ease of applying force. The thumb grip and hand fit are improved for even easier handling.
FEATURE (Features)
High-durability clutch
Shimano's clutch is known for its high durability. A special surface treatment on the pinion gear further enhances durability and salt resistance. The reliability of the clutch is even stronger. The design philosophy aimed at truly usable reels is also reflected here.
High corrosion-resistant internal parts
Not only the main parts but also internal parts such as washers are designed for toughness. Using high-rigidity, corrosion-resistant stainless steel materials throughout, especially for offshore specifications, promises safe and reliable fighting.
Level wind linkage
The spool and level wind are linked structurally. Line release becomes straight and smooth, allowing for precise fall of the rig. During fighting, the drag operates smoothly, making it safe even with thin lines.
Line slip prevention pin
The spool is equipped with a pin to securely fix PE lines. This small part eliminates the need for slip prevention tape or under-winding nylon lines when starting to wind, preventing accidental line slipping troubles.
