The Engetsu BB is a dedicated Tai Raba reel that is easy for beginners to handle yet equipped with sufficient features. It features the HAGANE body for the first time in this class. It enhances rigidity while evolving into a compact body shape that is easy for anyone to grip. Additionally, the level wind linkage function allows for even smoother line release during falls and drag operation. It leverages the advantages of thin lines, which are a strength of Tai Raba, and can handle large red sea bream. Not only is winding light, but the PG model reduces winding wobble, making it suitable as an initial reel, while the HG model emphasizes sensitivity.
High-rigidity HAGANE body and easy-to-hold low-profile design.
Using lightweight, high-rigidity aluminum for the frame, it firmly suppresses reel flex, distortion, and twisting. It protects delicate gear engagement and allows smooth reeling. Suitable for high-load fishing such as trolling, offshore, and heavy Tai Raba. Also, compared to the previous model, it has a 1.6mm lower profile, allowing for a firm grip even under high load. Especially suitable for small hands such as children and women.

X-Protect
Formidable waterproof system.
Waterproof wall and special water-repellent grease strongly guard against water ingress into the drive gear shaft spool-side bearing.
S A-RB
By applying special anti-rust treatment to the bearings themselves, durability against rust is greatly improved. S A-RB further seals the sides with anti-rust material, significantly reducing salt crystallization inside the bearings and salt gumming.
