The drive system of the Scorpion MD300 employs two technologies: micro module gears and X-SHIP. The micro module gear, which increases the number of meshing teeth to demonstrate greater strength, suppresses vibrations caused by gear engagement and achieves smooth, silky winding. X-SHIP, which includes enlarging the drive gear, optimally arranging the pinion and drive gears, and supporting the bearing with two points via the pinion gear, firmly supports the gear system. The fusion of these technologies provides excellent stability and powerful winding force, strongly supporting the angler's challenge.

The Scorpion MD300 adopts a large-diameter spool of 43mm with a line capacity of 25lb 135m. Combined with a gear ratio of 7.6, it marks a maximum winding length of 103cm per handle turn. The high line capacity allows for maintaining winding speed even after long casts, enabling quick operation immediately after water entry. It reduces line tension slack and facilitates smooth penetration even with thick-shank hooks mounted on giant baits. Designed for fighting large fish, the maximum drag force is set at 8kg, allowing the angler to maintain an advantageous game without yielding the initiative to the opponent.
