Engetsu 21 ENGETSU

The evolution never stops, and the Tai Ruba reel Engetsu has been renewed with further specifications. Micro module gear and X-SHIP provide smooth and powerful winding, while a level wind linked spool and fall lever ensure stable falls. The robust aluminum HAGANE body helps win the fight against large sea bream. The item lineup includes the highly versatile 100 size and the 150 size designed for Tora Tora Tai Ruba. This new Tai Ruba reel responds to a wide range of fields and strategies.

In addition to the standard 100 size, the 150/151HG, suitable for Tora Tora Tai Ruba, has been added.

In addition to the highly versatile 100 size PG and HG (left winding is indicated as 101), the 150HG and 151HG are equipped with a line capacity to stock 330m of PE No.1 line. Equipped with a 60mm long handle and round knob for speedy and strong searching of deep waters under water pressure, and an aluminum plate on the A side increases the body’s rigidity. It achieves powerful winding without compromising high gear efficiency. The lightweight design without a counter makes it a valuable asset for practicing lighter Tora Tora Tai Ruba beyond super deep.

Fall lever

A lever designed to easily and accurately control the fall speed, which was previously difficult to control. Enables more strategic fishing, such as high speed in the midwater layer and low speed near the bottom.

Level wind linked spool

A structure where the spool and level wind are linked. Allows the line to be released straight and fall smoothly, enabling precise and stable presentation. During fighting, the drag operates smoothly, making it suitable even for fishing with thin lines.

Micro module gear

Achieves an unprecedented silky winding feel through small precision gears and an intricate body housing. Compared to conventional gears, vibration is less than half (our comparison), and increased gear engagement teeth ensure greater strength than traditional gears. It is Shimano’s unique gear system that balances smooth feeling and strength.

X-SHIP

Enlargement of the drive gear diameter, proper arrangement of pinion and drive gears, and dual support of the pinion gear by bearings. These robust gear engagements maintain a light, powerful reeling under load.

HAGANE body

Uses lightweight yet highly rigid metals such as aluminum and magnesium to firmly suppress reel deformation, distortion, and twisting. Protects delicate gear engagement and enables smooth reeling.

X-Protect

Adopts Shimano’s proud high waterproof system X-Protect. Uses waterproof barriers and special water-repellent grease to strongly guard against water ingress into the drive gear shaft spool-side bearing. Further evolved into a highly durable offshore specification.
