The BK-021W has two rod rests, and the BK-024W has four, featuring Shimano's original shape of rod rest. This rod rest adopts a separate structure dividing the top and bottom parts, using only the minimum necessary amount of resin compared to common cylindrical types, contributing to weight reduction. Additionally, separating the parts makes cleaning easier if the interior gets dirty. The bottom of the rod rest has a water drain hole, allowing water to drain when moving on a boat, when waves splash, or when it rains. Depending on the angler's tackle load, for example in angling like Ajing, a two-rod rest model may suffice, but for activities like Tai-rubber, metal Sutte, or super-light jigging, where two spinning and two baitcasting rods are carried, choosing the four-rod rest model is recommended.

Can be used with a shoulder strap or the Gachitto handle held by hand.

This model comes with both a length-adjustable one-touch shoulder strap and a Gachitto handle. The shoulder strap allows carrying on the shoulder when the contents are heavy, freeing both hands, which is very convenient when transporting with other items like a cooler box. The shoulder strap has a one-touch buckle, allowing quick switching from shoulder carry to hand carry by attaching it to the buckle at the base of the strap. The Gachitto handle provides a more secure grip. When moving with multiple tackle sets, the weight can cause instability. Holding the Gachitto handle firmly ensures stable transportation.

Holes are provided on the shoulder strap mount and Gachitto handle mount, allowing items like towels or fishing pliers to be inserted and stored.
