The HARD ROCKER series was born to support a wide range of sizes and fishing styles for lock fish nationwide. While maintaining the lightweight and powerful features of the original HARD ROCKER, it has evolved into HARD ROCKER SS with the addition of 'Spiral X'. In addition to classic items, it includes unique items that respond to diverse scenes.
Spiral X
Overcomes twisting and crushing, fundamentally enhancing rod performance.
Spiral X is a three-layer structure with carbon tape diagonally wound in opposite directions on the inner and outer layers of the rod's vertical fibers. The diagonal fibers on the inside and outside maintain lightness while achieving high torsional rigidity and crush resistance. Instant power transfer during casting and fighting improves, maintaining lightness and increasing the fundamental strength to catch fish, which is Shimano's original 'basic structure.'
High Power X
A reinforced structure that suppresses twisting during casting and fighting. It features wrapping carbon tape in an X-shape over the outermost layer of Spiral X or over the cross-structure of the carbon sheet. This ensures the rod's bend retains the angler's intended direction, allowing the blank's inherent performance to be fully expressed.
Tough Tech (Infinity)
Tough Tech achieves three times the winding strength and five times the winding amount compared to general solids (company comparison). It is a high-strength solid tip that surpasses Tough Tech α.
