It has been refined for overall performance, allowing for more accurate jig control, reduced fatigue, and powerful fights. The rod actions, which are the core of jerking, have been thoroughly analyzed for each item and updated appropriately. Technical response, power, and other aspects have been given unique dedicated designs from their respective perspectives. The 2-5 power models active in nearshore waters are equipped with lightweight and strong CI4+ reel seats that emphasize ease of grip and operability. The 6-8 power models that take on large fish worldwide are equipped with V-hold grips for a secure hold, greatly improving fighting stability. A full lineup of 14 items covering all fields from nearshore to expeditions supports anglers challenging big fish both domestically and internationally.

The Type J, which forms the backbone of the Grappler series, is available in 7 spinning and 7 baitcasting models, for a total of 14 items. All models enhance the overall "jerk response and strength" of the unified concept, while updating rod actions appropriately for each situation. Each has been given a unique dedicated design from its respective perspective. The 2-5 power spinning models, which emphasize operability, have become soft-tipped to handle a variety of jig actions, pursuing a balance that makes it easier to grasp the timing of jerks and reduces fatigue. The 2-5 power baitcasting models have been made slightly more resilient, emphasizing response. They are designed to accurately lift jigs and easily create slide and fall actions. Furthermore, the 6-8 power heavy spinning and heavy baitcasting models are designed with power in mind. The adoption of V-hold grips, which allow for a secure grip even under heavy load and reduce fatigue, and a heavier butt section, improve fighting and jerking performance.

The 2-5 power spinning models are equipped with a lightweight and high-strength carbon material CI4+ reel seat. The shape has fewer steps and is easy to grip. It contributes to improved operability and sensitivity.

Full Holding Seat (Baitcasting 2-5 Power)

For baitcasting models from 2-5 power, a full holding seat made of lightweight, high-strength carbon material CI4+ is used. It accommodates various grip styles, pursuing a snug fit and fatigue-free grip. It adapts to various ways of holding, such as gripping, resting on the palm, or using 2-4 fingers. Additionally, flattening the lower part of the grip improves stability when held, supporting high-precision jigging from the hand.

Separate Grip (Baitcasting 2-5 Power)

The 6-8 power models feature V-hold grips. By making the cross-section V-shaped, the grip force when holding is improved. Furthermore, in synergy with the long front grip, it supports stable power fights while reducing fatigue.

Rubber Gimbal (6, 7 Power)

Heavy models are equipped with gimbals, essential items for big fights. Rubber gimbals are standard equipment on 6-power and 7-power models.
