Nine years since the previous model, the Metanium DC is reborn as a neo-versatile machine. The low-inertia MGL Spool III adopts a 34/19mm size, which offers a good balance of light start-up and long casting, making it excellent for versatility. The brake system is equipped with DC brake, which instantly senses rotational changes of the spool with a microcomputer to adjust braking force. A new firmware has been adopted that excels in long casting performance and anti-backlash performance. The S3D spool and Silent Tune, which aim to reduce vibration, maximize casting performance. Furthermore, the Micro Module Gear, which provides smooth winding, is firmly supported by X-SHIP. Additionally, the Core Solid Body achieves both high rigidity and reduced weight. The exterior, finished in a high-quality, deep black base, stands out in the field and enhances the sense of ownership.

Instant fine adjustment from the outside is possible. New brake adjustment dial that enhances operability.

The mode dial, which was previously built inside the side plate, has evolved into a new brake adjustment dial unit that allows adjustment from the outside along with the brake dial. With 3 modes and 5 levels of braking force, totaling 15 shifts, instant fine adjustments can be made without opening the side plate. This makes it easier to find the best setting that matches the changing field conditions and lures, bringing you closer to the next catch. For expert settings, it is now possible to achieve further spool inertia reduction by intentionally winding less fluorocarbon line and selecting the N mode, which applies less braking force, rather than the F mode, using only the external dial.
