Also, the smooth line release during reverse rotation required for lever brake reels is achieved by installing a Magnum Light Rotor.
Regarding waterproof performance, we adopted X Protect on the line roller part, making it a truly high-specification model without compromise.
Additionally, it features a Zero Fleece Tension Lever that can lightly brake rotor reversal, reducing line troubles caused by rotor reversal.
HAGANE body and HAGANE gear provide high rigidity and durability.
In rocky shores where large tail-length fish and other powerful fish may appear at any time, high rigidity is required for the entire body, including the reel foot. The HAGANE body adopted in BB-X Larissa suppresses concerns about impact, deformation, and torsion in harsh environments with a robust aluminum body. Furthermore, it is equipped with a hard, tough HAGANE gear formed by precision cold forging, achieving a level above standard reel gear strength.
Reduce line troubles with the Zero Fleece Tension Lever.
BB-X Larissa is the only model in 2500/C3000 sizes equipped with the Zero Fleece Tension Lever. When turned ON, it applies a slight tension to prevent rotor reversal by its own weight during reverse rotation, reducing line troubles caused by rotor reversal during baiting or rig replacement. It also suppresses reverse backlash that can occur during squid eel fishing, such as sudden swimming of baitfish or reverse jet propulsion of squid.
Protect rotation and enhance waterproof performance with X Protect.
For rocky shore reels that may occasionally be splashed by seawater, advanced waterproof performance is essential. In BB-X Larissa, X Protect is newly adopted on the line roller part. By combining special water-repellent grease and a labyrinth structure that suppresses water ingress, high waterproof performance is achieved without impairing rotation ease.
