Spiral X

Overcomes twisting and crushing to fundamentally improve rod performance.

Spiral X is a three-layer structure with carbon tape wound diagonally in opposite directions on the inner and outer layers of the rod's longitudinal fibers. The diagonal fibers on the inside and outside allow for maintaining lightness while achieving high torsional and crush resistance. Instant power transfer during fishing actions such as casting and fighting improves, maintaining lightness and increasing the fundamental strength, a unique Shimano 'basic structure.'

X Guide

Shimano original guide X Guide that brings out the original performance of the rod.

Born from the perspective of rod manufacturers, X Guide is designed to fully unleash the potential of the blank. An original high-performance guide that combines lightness, trouble-free operation, and high-level casting performance.

Parabola Tune / Parabola Tune R / Parabola Tune R+

Parabola Tune revises the joint parts of each section to realize a smooth action while maintaining strength and eliminating rigidity differences. It successfully produces a smooth action and power comparable to a one-piece rod. Parabola Tune R is a version developed to suit power rods for rocky shores with a slender, thick profile. The overlapping rigidity is adjusted for smoother bending of the joint, creating an action reminiscent of a one-piece rod.

Toughtech α

A solid tip that suppresses the stiffness of the Toughtech tip. It maintains the diameter and strength of the tip while achieving a flexible and delicate bend.

Barrier Finish

A special coating applied to the surface of the blank significantly reduces dirt adhesion. Its excellent water-repellent and anti-fouling properties allow dirt to be easily washed off with water, maintaining the beauty of the rod.

Hyper Non-Contact II

By applying a special convex coating called 'dots' on the surface of the blank, friction resistance when line contacts the rod is reduced. It prevents line sticking even under adverse conditions such as rain and spray.

Palm Fit Sheet CI4+
