Grappler features a fall lever and level wind linked for smooth and free fall. The high gear with a maximum retrieve length of 78cm handles fine one-pitch jigs without stress, suitable for targeting fish such as yellowtail, rockfish, and bluefish in coastal waters. Drive system with small, precise gears that mesh densely.

Achieves an unprecedented 'silky' winding feel thanks to ultra-small, precise gears and an intricate body housing. Compared to conventional gears, vibration levels are less than half (company comparison), and increased gear teeth ensure greater strength than traditional gears. A Shimano proprietary gear system that balances smooth feeling and strength.

X-SHIP

Enlarged drive gear, placement of pinion and drive gears, and dual support of pinion gear by bearings. These robust gear engagements maintain a light, responsive reeling under load.

HAGANE Body

Uses lightweight yet rigid metals such as aluminum and magnesium to firmly suppress reel flex, distortion, and twisting. Maintains delicate gear engagement and enables smooth reeling.

X-Protect

Impenetrable waterproof system.
