The Antares DC, which relentlessly pursues long casting distances, has been reborn by gathering technology. It features the MGL Spool III, which produces a light startup and a smooth trajectory, adopted for the first time in a DC reel. The synergistic effect with the precise control of the 48DC brake further enhances casting performance.

The S3D spool and Silent Tune suppress vibrations that cause rotation disturbances. With micro module gears, X-SHIP, and additional bearings on the handle shaft, the winding feel has been dramatically improved.

Micro Module Gear

Achieved an unprecedented silky winding feel with ultra-compact precision gears and an intricate body housing. Compared to conventional gears, vibration levels are less than half (our comparison), and increased tooth engagement ensures greater strength than traditional gears. It is Shimano's original gear system that balances smoothness and strength.


X-SHIP

The gear structure is robust, enabling smooth reeling under load thanks to the larger drive gear, the arrangement of pinion and drive gears, and dual support with bearings on the pinion gear. This makes for a resilient and lightweight gear structure.


Handle wobble reduction

By increasing the bearings in the handle shaft support from one to two, wobbling is significantly reduced. This results in a smooth and precise winding feeling.


Corrosion-resistant for seawater use

The plating quality of the thumb rest has been improved, and the body paint has been renewed, making it suitable for use in seawater.
