The low-inertia MGL Spool III offers quick startup and well-balanced extension, adopting a 34/19mm size that excels in versatility. The brake system features DC Brake, which instantly detects spool rotation changes with a microcomputer and adjusts braking force. It employs new firmware that enhances casting distance and backlash resistance. The S3D spool and Silent Tune reduce vibrations, maximizing casting performance. Additionally, the micro-module gear with smooth winding is strongly supported by X-SHIP. The high rigidity achieved by the core solid body and lightweight design provide excellent handling in all situations. The exterior, finished in a deep, high-quality black tone, stands out in the field and enhances ownership pride.

The mode dial, previously integrated inside the side plate, has evolved into a new brake adjustment dial unit that allows external adjustment along with the brake dial. With 3 modes and 5 levels of brake force, totaling 15 shifts, it enables instant fine-tuning without opening the side plate. This makes it easier to match the best settings to changing field conditions and target lures, bringing you closer to the next catch. For expert settings, such as intentionally winding less fluorocarbon line to further reduce spool inertia, selecting N mode (which applies less brake force) instead of F mode is now possible solely with the external dial.

As the first DC-equipped model, it features a high-rigidity core solid body. The main frame and level wind protector are integrally molded from metal, providing a strong body despite a low profile.
