Micro Module Gear II, born from Shimano's continuously improved manufacturing technology, pursues ideal tooth profiles for the drive gear and pinion gear, which are the heart of the reel. This results in smoother reeling, allowing anglers to better feel the lure's grip on the water and changes in current during retrieves. It supports delicate fishing in extreme conditions, such as the drift fishing technique for cunning river seabass that ambush bait flowing in the light-dark difference of bridge piers, by bringing the lure to the seabass's mouth with reeling sensitivity.

The Long Stroke Spool releases line with a nearly constant diameter even during long casts, reducing the line drawn from the deep part of the spool. Conventional drags require multiple rotations of the drag knob for adjustment. However, in seabass fishing, fish often enter strong currents, become agitated when they see the landing net, or suddenly run towards structures. In such cases, there may not be enough time for multiple rotations of the drag knob. Rapid Fire Drag increases the adjustment range per rotation of the drag knob, allowing it to respond to the angler's split-second decisions.
