Spiral X
Overcomes twisting and crushing, fundamentally enhancing rod performance.
Spiral X is a three-layer structure with carbon tape diagonally wound in opposite directions on the inner and outer layers of the rod's vertical fibers. The diagonal fibers maintain lightness while achieving high torsional rigidity and crush resistance. Instant power transfer during casting and fighting improves, maintaining lightness and enhancing the fundamental strength to catch fish, Shimano's original "basic structure."
Hyper Power X
A reinforced structure that further suppresses twisting during casting and fighting. It involves tightening carbon tape in an X-shape over the outermost layer of Spiral X or over the crosswise carbon sheet structure. This keeps the bend of the rod aligned with the angler's intent and fully demonstrates the blank's inherent performance.
CI4+
An evolved version of Shimano's proprietary material CI4, reinforced with carbon fiber. It is characterized by being lighter and having higher strength compared to traditional resins.
