The newly adopted Magnum Light Spool III, with low inertia, allows for low-trajectory casting into structures. Micro Module Gear

A new drive system with small, precise gears that mesh densely.

Achieves an unprecedented silky winding feel through ultra-small, precise gears and an intricate body housing. Compared to conventional gears, vibration levels are less than half, and increased tooth engagement ensures greater strength than traditional gears. This Shimano-exclusive gear system balances smoothness and strength.

HAGANE Body

Uses lightweight yet highly rigid metals such as aluminum and magnesium to firmly suppress reel flex, distortion, and twisting. Maintains delicate gear meshing and enables smooth reeling.

Infinity Drive

Dramatically reduces rotational resistance. Challenging the impossible with a revolutionary concept: Infinity Drive.

A new mechanism developed by Shimano to realize stronger and lighter winding. Replaces the support of the pinion gear by a spool-side bearing with high rotational resistance with a structure supported from inside the pinion gear using the spool's axis. Further, the gear support distance and thickness are optimized for high support rigidity. This significantly reduces gear rotation resistance without compromising gear strength.

Magnum Light Spool III

Evolved from the first-generation Magnum Light Spool and second-generation Magnum Light Spool, the latest is the Magnum Light Spool III, the third generation. It challenges further thinning of the spool, achieving lower inertia without sacrificing durability, surpassing previous models. It offers excellent casting performance, a lighter and more responsive start, a smooth and extended cast feel, and greatly improved trouble-free performance.

Silent Tune

Reduces vibration during high-speed rotation by applying light pressure to the bearing holding the spool. Improves casting quietness and spool rotation response.

SVS (Infinity)

Adjustable with an external dial for a wide range of settings. The next-generation centrifugal brake has further evolved.

Offers quick start-up and smooth, extended casting, capable of targeting the deepest points with high accuracy, and features a centrifugal brake -SVS- that combines long-distance casting with precision. SVS (Infinity) has a wide brake adjustment range, allowing it to handle various situations with just the external dial (internal brake shoes: 4 ON). Fine-tuning of internal brake shoes is also possible for more precise adjustments.

S Compact Body

By making the grip side smaller in diameter than the handle side, it provides a grip so comfortable that it feels like a size smaller. Improves handling and grip.

Exciting Drag Sound
