By thoroughly balancing the point of bend to smoothly shift towards the hand side, it reduces the load and fatigue felt by the angler. The design allows the grip to bend exquisitely from front to back, making it easier to sense changes in jig and tide resistance at the hand, supporting high-precision jerks. The 2-piece grip joint thoroughly pursues bendability, achieving strength similar to a one-piece rod and beautiful bending. Based on a slow style that emphasizes jig fall action, it offers operability to comfortably handle various techniques such as slow retrieves, fast retrieves, and combination jerks that skillfully vary jig speed. Maintains sufficient strength through Shimano’s proprietary Spiral X core structure, thoroughly suppressing unpleasant feelings such as twisting and power loss common with thin-diameter blanks. It can produce an enchanting action as if the jig itself is swimming, rather than moving the jig.

Spiral X core
A next-generation basic structure evolved with the adoption of high-strength materials.
Using Shimano’s original design and manufacturing method, it thoroughly pursues higher strength against bending, twisting, crushing, and all directions. It uses a carbon tape made with high-strength resin realized through Nano Alloy Technology, in addition to Shimano’s proprietary basic structure Spiral X that enhances rod performance from the core. Selected materials enable further high strength.
Hyper Power X
A reinforced structure that further suppresses twisting during casting and fighting. It features wrapping the outermost layer of Spiral X or the crosswise structure of the carbon sheet with carbon tape in an X shape. This ensures the rod’s bend retains the angler’s intended direction and fully demonstrates the inherent performance of the blank.
CI4+
An evolved version of Shimano’s proprietary material CI4, reinforced with carbon fiber, called CI4+. It is characterized by being lighter and having higher strength compared to conventional resins.
Full-holding reel seat
The reel seat adopts Shimano’s original 'Full Holding Seat'. Its tapered shape and waist processing provide a snug fit and fatigue-free grip, suitable for various styles such as gripping, resting on the palm, or wrapping. Additionally, flattening the lower part of the grip improves stability when held, supporting high-precision jigging from the hand. The adoption of carbon-reinforced material CI4+ also contributes to lightweight and high sensitivity.
